Pelikan M400 - Original Packaging - Green Striped/Black (SB698)

This is a wonderfully preserved Pelikan M400 that belongs in a collection. First of all, the pen looks unused. I don't know it's history, but it's as clean as a whistle and still has the small M400 tag on the clip and a paper label on the barrel denoting the nib. There's no evidence of ink in the very transparent barrel. The cap band is engraved, "W.Germany" which dates the pen to 1982-1991. The box has an outer box (a bit worn), the inner presentation box (in pristine shape), and a bottle of Pelikan blue ink. The nib is a 14 Kt extra fine. I dipped it, and it writes well. 5", 125 mm.
