Garant was an East German pen manufacturer from before the Iron Curtain fell. The Garant Nilor is a well-made black pen. This one has a steel Aurora medium nib - a very smooth writer. The pen is a piston filler with a clear ink-view segment in the barrel. The condition on this pen is excellent, other than the replacement nib. This would make a great every-day pen with a bit of story. 5 3/8", 133 mm.
