Stephens Leverfil No. 106 - Green-Gray (SB 728)

Nib: 14 Kt Medium Semi-flex

Stephens was a second line English pen maker. This pen probably dates from the 1930s. They made the 106 model from 1935 until the company stopped making fountain pens in 1950. Their main focus had been inks (much like Carter's). The pen plastic is in excellent condition, while the not-very-fancy metal hardware has quite a bit of brassing. Lever filler. The nib is a 14 Kt Warranted, and it's a medium with a bit of flex (but not a lot). 4 3/4", 120 mm. A nice pen from the era when a pen could be both pretty and a reliable everyday tool.
