Swan Leverless Model 4460 - Black (Pen 2495)

Nib: 14 Kt Fine-Medium

This is a classic Swan Leverless from the 1940s. The leverless filling mechanism is sac based, like lever fillers, but it uses a turning knob at the end of the barrel. That turning knob has a rod attached to it that engages with the sac and twists it. Operationally, you turn the knob about 3/4 of a turn (not more) while the pen is in a bottle of ink, then turn it back. The pen fills nicely. The nib on this pen is a rigid 14 kt Swan Eternal #4 that runs fine-medium. The pen's condition is excellent. 5 1/2", 133 mm.
