Waterman Ink-Vue 511G Set - Gray Pearl (Pen 2403)

Nib: 14Kt Semi-flexible Fine

This is a very pretty Waterman Ink-Vue set - fountain pen and pencil - in Gray Pearl. According to Richard Binder, these were nick-named "Blue Streaks" and were sold during the 1940s. The provenance on this set is that I purchased it from the Fountain Pen Hospital as they were selling the late Gary Lehrer's collection. It's in excellent working condition other than a small scuff caused by the clip on the pen cap. The Ink-Vue filler uses a pump-action, much like a Vacumatic, although the "vue" is more limited than a Vacumatic, with a transparent portion of the barrel. The pen holds quite a bit of ink, and it was very well made. The nib is a semi-flexible fine. The pencil works by pump action. 5 1/8", 130 mm. [The writing sample is the correct one - the inventory number was in error when I shot the photograph of the sample.]
